  30. Carolina Panthers – Shaq Lawson, DE, Clemson
  31. Denver Broncos – Paxton Lynch, QB, Memphis

Notable Selections:

  • Browns draft Wentz over Goff because of his stellar combine.
  • Cowboys take Buckner over Bosa due to questions over Bosa’s explosiveness.
  • 49ers don’t draft a QB and draft Jaylon Smith because they are said to like Connor Cook in the 2nd/3rd, and because they can afford to wait for Smith to heal because the team isn’t expected to succeed next year and their LB core is depleted.
  • Buccaneers draft Ezikiel Elliot in the top 10 because they are losing Doug Martin.
  • Giants have to sign pass rushers and a DB in FA; draft best player available Laquon Treadwell to form a top 1-2 punch at WR with OBJ.
  • Bears get a steal in Myles Jack at 11.
  • Rams find their franchise QB in Jared Goff at 15.
  • Rex Ryan and the Bills draft Nkemdiche at 19 as a steal with his talent.
  • Jets get their pass rusher in Leonard Floyd.
  • Derrick Henry sneaks into the first round at 22 to the Texans.
  • Steelers find their Heath Miller replacement in Hunter Henry.
  • Packers get the top ILB and a steal with Reggie Ragland at 27.
  • Broncos select Paxton Lynch to end the first round, to be groomed for a year or two because they resign Brock the Rock.

Possible Steals:

  • Myles Jack 11 to the Bears.
  • Jared Goff 15 to the Rams.
  • Robert Nkemdiche 19 to the Bills.
  • Reggie Ragland 27 to the Packers.
  • Shaq Lawson 30 to the Panthers.

Possible Busts:

  • Carson Wentz 2 to the Browns (Because it’s the Browns).
  • Joey Bosa 5 to the Jaguars.
  • Kevin Dodd 17 to the Falcons.
  • Derrick Henry 22 to the Texans.
  • Will Fuller 24 to the Bengals.
  • Paxton Lynch 31 to the Broncos.

Feel free to comment any questions regarding why teams would choose the player I chose or why a player rose/fell.
